And what they're going to do in it's place.

It's no wonder they sold so few as the car in its concept was a total failure.

If they are looking for a low (or even zero emission) vehicle to reduce their range average output then they need to change tac. Rebadged Tesla perhaps....?

my mate has a top spec one and tbh as little cars go its best you can buy and when you see it its nothing like a Toyota

I have read that the car only came about to reduce the company co2 emissions. Therefore not surprised that it did not do well. The car IMO was forced on the company for the above reason. As mentioned in a previous thread a small sports car would be a good way to go eg Frog eyed sprite sized car with a 1lt nasp or with a turbo.Just cant charge silly prices because of the badge, they could create a sub brand like the Dino!

The sports car manufacturer posted a pre-tax loss of ÂŁ24.6m in the year to December 2012, against ÂŁ21.2m in the prior year.

The increased loss was the result of reduced sales, down 9pc to ÂŁ461.2m, with global sales volume down to 67,500 units, from a peak of 110,000 units in 2007.

Clearly high-end luxury cars are feeling the pinch. They obviously have a lot of private equity on board. IIRC the four-door is made in Austria but that is surely not a big cost saver.
