Keith, my local dealer, Guthrie Bros of Montrose, Angus has a ZT260SE for sale, only asking for ÂŁ24,400, ex-demo, done 3,159 miles.

Just the MG though, no Rover V8.

Info here http://www.guthriebros.co.uk

Good news is that they're quite big (though still family run) and also have a big Ford franchise, so shouldn't go under like some of the less fortunate smaller franchises.:irked:

Did try buying a Rover Commerce from them, but they wouldn't play ball with the prices

I met up with another bloke to go to Gaydon on Sunday at the Martin's MGR dealer at Winnall, near Winchester, Hampshire. They had a black ZT260 for sale at ~ÂŁ25k. It had leather interior too. No other details though, and of course said dealer was closed. They also have a Nissan franchise so I guess they will be ok.

Seriously though, I think your local dealer should be able to search other dealer's stock...?
No can do... Marshalls of Peterborough told me they couldn't do that, as without Longbridge, there's no central point for exchanging cars... That actually sounded to me like he didn't want me to go to another dealer...

I did hear Phoenix dealers had a few, but extracting them will be difficult now, I imagine.

I'll check out the suggestions laid out anyway.

And yes, Andy, I mean the Rover 75 V8... now might bethe last chance to buy a new one...

Keith

On the news earlier, they said the Automated First Registration Link had been pulled from Dealers, making registering new cars impossible.

I guess the same can be said for the car ordering and stock locator system.

Wonder if the Discus system is still operational?

Keith,

Phoenix Chorley had one in the showroom for a long time. It was in the classic colour like the press releases (chatsworth?). I don't recall it being there last time I went though, but was there quite recently.

Might be worth a try.

I've seen one somewhere else too in a showroom but can't for the life of me remember where. Unless it was Phoenix Preston up the road...
