couldnt you replace them with a screw and then use screw covers like on furniture lol

The white ones on my TF all broke so I pinched some red ones off my MGf before I sold it, they seam a bit more robust!

 

You can still buy them from Xpart, they come in the 'seatbelt recall kit', £1.98, don't have the part number to hand.

 

I got sick of the creaks and broken fastenings, so I went a bit radical. Some rawl plugs, chrome screw cups and decking screws later:

Have to say I was pleased with the result, but I always meant to find some black screws.

 

I've been thinking of doing something similar, my only worry is lining the drill holes up correctly.

 

Some heavy duty velcro dots should do it. I have added some to the clips to stop rattles.

 

Now there's a good idea. I have stacks of stick on velcro. I'll do this when I install my MK2 T bar mod
