Sorry mate I would love to help but I can't find any reference to this model (what is it??) on the Alpine site.....

 

Well after an input into Google, It comes back and tells all about the little head unit.

Yes, It will play MP3s/WMA straight out the box.

 

hmm, not sure tho, coz went to halfords, and it said mp3/cd tuner on the little card, but below said mp3 changer compatible, and the guy said no, so bit confused really. lots of conflicting things really, which is rather odd!


anyone out there have this head unit and can help?

 

If it says mp3/cd tuner....then it should play an mp3 disk in it's single slot. The other bit should just refer to the fact that you can add an mp3 changer also surely ... no ??

That's like getting a cd tuner...that says it's cd changer compatible... you'd still expect it to play a cd in it's slot tho.

But...I found it on this site... http://www.auto-connect.co.uk/acatalog/ALPINE_CD_TUNER_.html and it doesn't mention anything about mp3 on it...not even mp3 changer.

I've been looking at that too. It doesn't play MP3/WMA though. But it is CDRW compatible which does me nicely as I don't really need 100 tracks on one CD!

 

As I put above. You need the CDA version, not CDM.

- this link says it has mp3 playback facilities, and states the model as CDM-9807. I think i'll get the model anyway, and just post something on here stating whether or not it can accept mp3/wma files.
