My car has made me extra proud, every day this week :broon:

Monday I was leaving work (always a nice thing to be doing), a chap who works over the road, he is in is early 20's, walked over to me and asked were I had got my wheels from and would they fit a Focus. He said they were some of the best wheels he had ever seen.

Tuesday We had some VIP customers visit, including their MD. On the way into the factory they stopped and had a look around my car. I was wearing an old MG cap and when they did the factory tour, their MD asked me were to buy a car from like mine!

Wednesday Took John for a drive to Malvern, we stopped for a bite to eat. A chap in a Harley Davidson t shirt went outside for a ciggy and spent a good 5 minutes walking around and looking very closely at my MG. When he came back in, he walked past our table and said "Bostin car mate"

Thursday Drove through torrential rain, my wipers struggled to clear the screen even on full speed. The roof did not leak, not a single drop of rain penetrated!

Friday I found out the cigar lighter was not working, I phoned Summit at 12:30, they told me to bring the car in after work. More torrential rain, no leaks. I arrived at garage at 15:40. Lighter was fixed there and then. Great service. :broon:

Soooo one very happy owner here :)

Parked at 'British Camp' Malvern

John managed to get a couple of 'view' shots has we buzzed along on Wednesday....

In just over one week my little un has passed her MOT with just one advisory.

Had a wee drive down to Devon arriving quite late, then subsequentley tried to put a tent up in the dark (not do-able)

Following day: Got lost in Devon!

Did a few skids and donnuts in farmers field.

Set of for home, but did a detour to London for a few days -just wanted to see if the speed bumps & potholes were still there - yes they are!

Eventually came home on Wednesday having done over 800 miles without so much as a murmur, so I'm very pleased with my old bird!

A fairly average week was enlightened by the comments of 4 ten year olds when I called to pick up Mrs Art from her mum's, as I approached the last remaining parking bay the said ten year olds descended from the tree they had been climbing and greeted me with " thats a classic car mate it is, where's it made, can I sit in it etc etc ?" I did allow them to sit in but the keys were in my pocket, you can't be too careful these days ! just imaging the Police report, " i let a 10 year old sit in the drivers seat and next thing he was gone "
Anyway I think my bit of unpaid PR work on behalf of MG may aid sales in the future
John, was the hood stuck in the closed position again ? should have got that fixed at the same time.

Friday Hm, few mates came down for a bit of a party, bugger all happened
Saturday, Fi asked me to sign some paperwork in Tiverton, not sure what it was, had another party. Bugger all happened.
Sunday had breakfast, friends couldn't get away quick enough.

Really nought to write home about. most of em just sat round moaning there was nought to do, boring old farts.

and yes I know its TF week not F week.

Sounds like a drag matey  That Fi is very demanding, I bet it was just some hp agreement for a new Hoover :)

Last Thursday I picked up my TF and drove 120 miles home. First 30 miles I had the roof down but had forgotten a hat so had to put the roof up to avoid burning my head. Sun hat now lives in the car.

Friday - put my two year old's seat in and took him for a trip in "Daddy's Racing Car"

Saturday/Sunday - had friends visiting for the weekend so the car mostly sat on the drive but gave her a wash and wax on Sunday afternoon.

Monday - Started my new job and drove up to Reading, roof down and massive grin.

Tuesday - New radio arrived so installed and tested Bluetooth handsfree with the roof down

Wednesday - Off to the office and then off to see a customer. More grinning.

Thursday - Worked from home so no excuse to go for a drive but went for one anyway and more grinning.

Friday - Back to the office, roof up because of the rain but still grinning. Changed the washer nozzles when I got home for some Citroen misting ones. Still grinning.

The new job and new car have got me grinning like a nutter.

I've had a great week!

I picked up my TF a week ago tonight - and I'm still grinning like the proverbial Cheshire cat!

Friday: Drove her home from Swindon, so nice little blast along the M4 to get used to her

Saturday: Spent most of the day dodging rain showers cleaning my trusty ol' Peugeot ready for my partners daughter to collect from me on Sunday. Found time to take significant other & my daughter out for a spin or two though.

Sunday: At last some decent weather so spent some time giving her a good wash & polish ready to show off at work & the hood came down - yay! Its great to be back in a topless MG again, I missed my little Midget so much.

Monday: Off to work in her for the first time. Hood down of course! Lots of admiring glances and comments from colleagues.

Tuesday: This was a day and a half! Had a day off - drove 320 miles in total with my daughter! Decided to replace the rear tyres as they didn't match so first stop was Milford Haven to get those done (yes I could have got them done closer to home, but I was going that way & have contacts over there which made it worth my while). She now has a lovely new pair of Continentals )
Next we drove over the Preselli mountains to Cardigan for a surprise visit to my parents. They had no idea that I was changing my car so it really was a surprise! The weather had been awful until about 15 minutes from our desitnation, but once it brightened up I pulled over and the hood came down. It stayed down all day until about 7pm when I stopped at Pont Abraham services to cover up before hitting the M4 home.
It was a lot of miles but I really got a chance to get used to driving my new baby and didn't stop smiling all day.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Just driven to work each day but with the hood down every morning & all but one evening.

So, all in all I've had a GREAT TF week :smug_git:

so far so good

Hi brand new to forum and TF ownership, bought an 02 160 in trophy blue, has needed some work, so far, 4 new tyres, rear discs and pads, new front to back water pipes, new speed sensor, got it for a bargain so the money ive spent is ok, but it makes it all worthwhile when driving with the roof down and hearing that lovely engine tone, it has a piper cross induction kit apparently, so yes so far a very good week.

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

If you start a thread, saying hello from a new member or such then I'm sure there will be plenty of hello's and advice.

Trophy Blue is a very nice colour and the 160 is a fantastic engine :broon:
