Just going the head gasket on my 1.8 k series along with other things, is there any order to which head bolts get tightened first? And also what is the torque setting?

It also depends on which gasket you are using.
Standard or MLS with shim type torque settings are 20Nm,180 degrees,180 degrees
MLS type without shim layer is 20Nm,180 degrees,135 degrees
Yep, so on the standard or MLS with shim it's torque to 20nm in the correct tightening sequence, then 180 degrees in the right sequence, then another 180 degrees in the right sequence.
yep i think its this but only do half or quarter a turn on each bolt (i can't remember which one it is lol) till they are loose enough to undo by hand don't undo one bolt at a time needs to be in the reverse sequence
In my experience and as advised by many manufactures and k series experts it is better to do 20 nm 90*90*90*90 longer but helps the gasket and head seat more evenly
2 x 180 was used at Powertrain, and is what is specified in the Rover engine overhaul manual.
It is debateable whether it really makes any difference using 4 x 90 as opposed to the usual 2 x 180,; which method you use is really down to your own preference.
