saw one on ebay a year ago, was built for someone in ireland but the collapse happened and I guess they didn't want it. But that is the only 1.4ZS I know about

 

my brother claims 2day that he has bought a mg zs 1.4 brand new but to look at it ,it looks like a 180 with all the kit on it. is this true???????

We have several in Portugal, I would say that it's the best seller version of the ZS... it was, I mean... (sh...)

finally with vented brake discs at the front and solid ones at the rear and some nice but huge 17" rims... yes, looks like a 180 but it's only a 105.

 

Open the bonnet if a hooge v6 looks back at you, its a 180 if a small k series block peeps it ickle self out its prob a 1.4

 

Yes, a 1.4 litre ZS was available in the Republic of Ireland and cost almost as much as a ZS180 here in the UK... but most of that was down to tax.

It'll move alright, always did really rather well in the 400 hatch.

 

Yup a nice engine in a nice car.

1.4 engines in the Rover 45 were quite popular, so it kinda didn't make sense that they didn't offer it in the MG ZS too. And before anyone says 'MG is all about performance', well yes it is, but affordable performance.

I also thought that they should have fitted the 86Ps 1.4 engine to the MG ZR. Thus making a MG ZR 90.

It would have created more sales from the Saxo Brigade when 105Ps is too much.

i always though there was a 1.4 zs ie the zs105 i though it was used up until the mk2 when it was replaced by the 1.6 110?
