Hi, Ive had an odd experience whilst on the motorway at 70 and, er, a bit, where the temp gauge waved up into the red, and back down a couple of times.

Pulled over and let it cool down, checked there was plenty of water, but at over 55 did it again, so straight to the MGR garage, where the mechanic said all seemed ok mechanically, it might be electrical (thermostat or something, I dont know I work on ships engines, I know nothing about fiddly little car engines). He said come back if it does it again, which seems a pretty [email protected] idea, I would rather he just fixed it!

Anyone had experience of this? What puzzles me is the speed the needle moves, not like a gradual heating up.

Regards

Wilko
