Hi guys, ive started to notice that the cooling fan is coming on sooner than it would have normally. Nothing to do with the warmer weather, just that I could uaually drive around town without any issues but now the fan comes on sometimes. (granted, it does switch off after the temp has dropped back a touch)
Could this be a side affect of the cone air filter getting clogged with the oil vapour that drips down from the throttle body ?...thus not allowing enough cool air into the plenum ? just a long shot.
I also thought about a coolant replacement as it is the same water and coolant that has been in it since 2002 :yikes: ....apart from the odd dribble of top up.

any suggestions are welcome as usual

thanks

I don't think your cooling fans running has anything to do with your induction set up, as the standard system is designed to take in any excess oil and incorporate it into the induction air, so it gets burnt in the combustion process.

Possibly more likely either a thermostat issue, or a blocked radiator.
(Although the KV6 can have HGF.....................)
