I've just fitted some Halfrauds own brand pads, beware that their computer system is a bit flaky on the ZS so tell them you want ZR pads, they all have the same part number.

So far they're nowhere near as good as what were on before, which I believe were proper MGR/Xpart ones, I'm not convinced they're going to bed in any better.

 

Thanks, does this include the rear pads having the same part number as the ZR? Do you know if the discs are only available from a dealer?

 

got mine on ebay from a brake specialist

Mintex discs and mintex pads - £120 delivered for front setup, he does a pkg for rears too

edit: thats for a 180 though, sure he does for Diesel motors

Don't get Halfords pads-the quality isn't great.

Go into your local Unipart/Central Auto Supplies and buy some of their's-they'll be as cheap and good quality.

 

although if you want them to last as long as possible and have the best feel throughout, cough up for OE parts.....

Many people in the know rate them very highly over anything apart from 'uprated' pads in fact!

Agree on the Halfords pads, they feel very hard, with little feel, and very little braking force. They don't produce much dust though!
