Hey all..

Well i got a MGzr 160, and its about due a service...

The girlfriends dad is a bit of a DIY mechanic and is more than capable of the job, and is familiar with the car (he has a rover 25)

however the haynes manual doesnt cover the 160 and i was wondering if the timing belt is changed in just the same way as the 25?

anyone know?

Thanks

it does have two belts but i don't think the rear one needs changing routinely - just replaced if taken off. the front belt is pretty much the same as the rover (with the possible exception of a different style of tensioner). i would recomend the ebay cd manual though - they are cheaper than a haynes and cover more - well worth it, i have got one which i used strip the head down on my zr 160
