hi all ,just thought I'd give us all a little summit to smile about; ok a couple of weeks ago my brother bought yet another bmw off of ebay ,now as he lives in kent ,I live in the lakes ,and the car was in north lancs I think you can guess what the outcome was ;yes I,ve had a bavarian sierra sat on my drive for a fortnight until I could find the time to deliver it to him (oh the shame fellow roverphiles) I am off to kent today in it ,so last night i thought I'd better give it a run out to identify any possible probs before setting off today ,my wee lassie decided to tag along and as it was a nice day not unreasonably put her window down (I think you can see where this is heading ) . Driving it to work last night i thought I'd better put it back up ,hit the switch ,loud snapping noise and the bloody thing fell out of its runners in a rover 600 stylee ,ha ha ha ultimate driving machine my arse ,so guess what I'll be doing this afternoon ? brothers who needs them, regards ,andy:eyes:

How come hes not picking it up? Could be more troubles for you on the way.

what year and model bmw is it?
'91 325i ,job done ,delivered to sunny kent, even though it had 166k on the clock the damn thing never missed a beat ,great engine shame about the rest of the car ,faults I noticed were ;3rd brake light didnt work, ciggy lighter didnt work , heater blower u/s ,heater temp control u/s ,heater distribution u/s ,central locking and alarm u/s ,rear fogs u/s and of course the passenger window ,I managed to force it into the up position and disconnect the switch , brother ran me back up in his company golf i.e free diesel ,thats how I ended up delivering it ,so I can breathe a sigh of relief now I 'm back to my 3 rovers on the drive, regards ,andy

My brother's got an '02 318i, he's a big car snob and constantly takes the mick out of my 1K rover. That was until my ti had to tow his Kubel wagon home after it broke down literally just after a ÂŁ600 service at a main dealer, he keeps his mouth shut now. For the record my 620ti has never broken down in the 20,000 miles I have put on it!.

my 318ti was rancid crap and managed to replace it with my 620sli, deciding to go back to rover due to the fact that my 214si was near perfect, and the bmw was useless and the most unreliable piece of engineering i have ever owned

ok quick update on the bavarian sierra which is sadly no more after its first outing to the ring http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=24167&sid=100f4296359f2cc18589d83d72fdc13c yeah I know the shame of looking at a bmw forum but its worth it for a laugh at my brothers expense and expensive it was !! 740 euros for the armco he ploughed into ,needless to say I consoled him by telling him he should have bought a nice safe understeering rover ,regards andy
