Hi, Have noticed that there are two different fitments listed for these back boxes, 105/120 & another for the 160, are there any differences between the 105/120 fitment to the 160 as they all look identical ?

Cheers

It probably the insides that is different, i think its the same tailpipe. not sure about the flange end
:bgrin2:  I knew as soon as i wrote "flange" it was probably the wrong word to use

Edit, the gasket end may be a bit different, also the 160 has a Valve in the tailpipe which opens and shuts at certain times, its to do with sound i think or emisions, can't remember the correct name for it now. The other exhaust may not have this.
The valve is called a thingy-valve, never met anyone who knows what the fcuk it does or is supposed to do!
The thingy valve opens at high revs above 5k i think and its to make the engine quieter until then.

They only test sound emmisions to 5k.

Yeh, i knew it was to do with sound. I'll make sure i get the correct name for it on Monday.
I thought it was only the original back box which contained the thingy valve ?....lol

It is. :D
Have read on one of the threads that a genuine mgzr160 backbox will fit a 105, so the x power 160 backbox should also fit a 105 ??
But I'm certain the pipe bore sizes are much different between the two models?
Tebster...i have the MGZR160 standard exhaust on my 1996 200...if that helps in anyway.
Between the ZR 1400 AND 1800,(original fitment) the back box is different, back box to centre section gasket is different, centre section is different, centre section to front pipe gasket and front pipe. So basicaly the whole lot is different is what i'm trying to say :eyes:
So the Major is probably right, the bore sizes are different.
