How much did they quote you for Nankangs?

 

I've got BF goodrich G force profiler on my ZR.Really good tyres.

 

Hankook K110's, Yokohama Prada Spec II's or Falken 452's for budget ish tyres.

Too many issues with Toyo reliability to recommend those.

And Nankangs do not have a very good reputation at all. Not used them myself though.

I can recommend Falken 512s (though not on your list)

 

The toyo's handle very well, but there a soft compound tyre and wear down very quickly.

 

I have toyo's and love them. Your right about the soft compound but then I'm hardly a high mile driver ( my cars 7 years old with 26K on the clock).

 

I would say the yokohama prada 2 have them on mine really good tyre if u wanna spend the money !

I have these up front, and after a 1000 miles or so to wear in a bit, they are great tyres, plenty of grip in the wet and even more in the dry, not too noisy, look good.

 

I havent had any issues with the proxes t1-rs yet, good tyre but i have only had them on about 2k, however i do believe they wont last too long as they seem to be made of a really soft compound. But you gotta compromise, grip for longevity

 

I agree with zedler, if you just want to drive normally on everyday roads, the Nankangs will feel similar to the other ones and last longer, however in the wet they are not that good. I have nankangs on one side and a hankook on the other and the only difference is in the wet.

 

Or buy some Michelin Contacts, i have them on my car, very good grip and very good life, just quite expensive.

 

i have just put 2x fate ar550 on the front of my 200, and went from 175/65/14 up one size to 185/60/14. i believe these are somewhat of a budget tyre but its perfect. handles excellent and grip in all weather is impeccable, SO much better than with the runway tyres i had before. Im waiting on 2 more for the back and ill have the full set.
They were £18 each from a part worn tyre place, but still have the little sticky out bits of rubber on which indicates that they were very new!
