From what I can gather it's the 220 Turbo's and 620i's but will these bolt up? And/or are there other option's, TIA

I kinda meant other standard gearboxes with Torsen's as I really can't afford to go down that route BUT on a side note I have heard that the Quaiffe is a much better diff even though the design is similar? Any comments?

the 220 turbo box will NOT mate to the 1.8k. In fact, none of the T series PG1's will. You need one from a BRM really if you're after the box without pulling it apart

The Quaife diff is superb, the ToRSen is ok but no-where near as good.

not unless you pull apart the gearbox, and then the output shafts have 2 sizes and i'm not entirely sure on their diameters. I've only re-conditioned 2 K series PG1's before, one was a BRM box

Thanks for all the replies, looks like I'll be sourcing a PG1 so and I may do with the diff for the time being!

And finally will a PG1 from a KV6 engine'ed car fit?

Actually, the guy where I'm getting the engine wants to sell me the matching 75 gearbox but I think this will cause me a lot more grief, any thoughts?
