Which Brake Pads?

I need to replace my front brake pads for my Rover 800. It's a S (98) 2.0 16v

It looks like there are 2 different types - typical.

How can I identify which ones to get? Just from Halfords list, they are listed as 'UK Built' and 'Japanese Built'

Any ideas - without having to take the pads in to match?

I,m pretty sure all the late ones were british built I would have thought the japanese ones would have stopped after splitting from honda ,but I have been known to be wrong now and again regards andy,ps you would probably get a definitive answer and a better price from a local motor factors like partco or even better an x part dealer or try rimmer bros if youre not desperate theyve got a downloadable pretty comprehensive parts list

different sized dics

Looks like there are 2 types of disc - 262mm and the 285mm.

Mine is the 285mm so I may as well get the disc and brake kit then I'll know.

The discs could do with replacing anyway.

Thanks

To make a certainty of things, remove a pair of pads and take them to Partco or another motor factors. That's what I'd do and Halfords would not be my first port of call.
