To get access to the washer bottle you need to remove the bumper. Once the bumper is off the washer bottle is hold by 2 bolts (or was it 3?). You could remove the whole bottle assembly from the car as it is easier to see and work while removing the pump.

If it's only the front that doesn't work, before removing the bottle check by operating it from inside the car which one is the pump for the front...there are two pumps that sit side by side at the bottom of the bottle.
