What's next for my ZR?

At the stage now where I'm running out of ideas (and money!), so thought I'd ask my fellow .orgites for their suggestions! :D

My current plans are:

1) Rear headrests fitted and retrimmed in BRM leather (hopefully next week!)

2) 18s - probably black with silver rim (in 20k time when my Eagles are worn out!)

3) Cadamuro skirts (would really need to get a new rear bib to level it out too, but the Cadamuro one is guff IMHO... anyone any suggestions?)

4) ICE, because I've none! Looking at altering my centre console to house a screen, however it's a BRM one so if I feck it up then that's it! :errx2:

5) ABC Red rear lights (prefer their subtlety to the ones I have, however can't decide whether or not they are TOO subtle)

I was considering Lambo doors for a while, but after reading up on them a bit more I've been put off the idea.

So, any suggestions as to what I should do? Really just looking for something subtle and preferably something I can do myself as a small project to keep me busy.

I've not posted any pics up because most of you know what it looks like anyway.

Get firin'!

madgasters has some small production run red/clear LED clusters on his, looks subtle and very smart at night. better than those rubbishy LED silver clusters anyway!

i dont think you could get hold of any tho, as there were only ever a few sets made :(

Not really a fan of his lights TBH mate, prefer the original ABC Red Trophy ones that were on the ZRX.

Hmm to be honest not sure what else you could do to the exterior (matchin coloured bra lol) personally i like window tints but maybe a bit too charv nowadys , then again they dont have to be complelty blacked out just slightly might look cool. exterior and interior lookin good my votes still ice probably

i like the sound of all of those mods mate, the rear lights are a good choice and i agree the subtle look would be the right way to go. if you wanted the cad skirts but not the rear bumper you could look at a custom job. deepended and smoothed would look nice, maybe a mk2 job. and style it a little bit like a mk5 fiesta zetec s rear (the one before the current model.) im not a fan of the cad rear really, think a custom job would look better. have a look at adapting other kits, for example civic parts.
are the runners for rear headrests already in the seats do you know?

Right I'll just reply to everyone here...

ICE is definitely an option, don't want to go too far though because I'd rather spend more money on my home setup than a setup just for a car.

Smoothed tailgate isn't an option just now... basically don't want anything that will alter the bodywork, especially if it means losing my MG theme.

Cadamuro skirts are a definite, but it'll be a while before I get them.

Custom rear, I like... ;)

Stu I'd say some decent ICE will do you fine, I have a company that will probably do nice discounts for you :)

Just get a good headunit and some component speakers in the front for now... pm me asap if you're interested... I am also very intrigued by your rear headrest idea... seems like a good one :)

mate, leve the car prehaps buy a top for your girlfriend she must be freezing! lol!!

no seriously, leave the look of the car, its just right. Why not make the car a real sleeper??

go for engine mods next, what engine is it? thats where all my money would be going to,

manifold, 4-2-1
intermediate
maxogen airbox
headwork

Ad^, think I have my ICE sorted actually mate, was going to buy Gra's old kit off him once he's had some time to himself, if not I'll let you know though :)

Nebburns, it's a 1.4, hopefully getting me a 1.8 VVC if Si decides to sell it all at the right price... ;)

You want to to keep the MG theme?

How putting '160' badge on the tail gate? :dddc:

Seriously though, keep it looking as it is, and vvc it, or stick a turbo in it. I'm sure Si would help!!!

try and get a rear end made up to look like the streetgear rear end. nicest back bumper for a bubble that's ever been made in my opinion. that should give you a bit od depth to continue the lines of the cad skirts round to the rear.
you dont have to go mad with ICE, just some nice comp's up front and a good quality sub. a neat boot is a must! so no Maccy D boxes!

either way i don't think your car is desperate for anything. just take your time desiding.
