What is this clip for?

Underneath the coolant tank, attached ot the body is an empty (hose) clip! (red arrow) Anyone know what it is for? :confused:

I have a white electrical connector plugged into my clip. The cable dissapears downwards, behind the right rear wheel. I can not see where it goes to from there. Perhaps it is a sensor for my ECVT gearbox? Any other TF120 owners have this as well?

Ok, whilst on the subject (?), I have noticed this one VERY rusty part in the engine bay. what is it. Should it be so rusty?

It is some sort of connector underneath the cooland reservoir. Cant see too much evidence of leakage form the reservoir or anything. Just wondered if it was crucial or not. The picture is taken looking from above into the engine bay if you did not already guess that.
