I split the off side track rod end ball joint.

Literally just that, didn't even take the nut off as I did that yesterday.

I did however spend most of the day with my kids celebrating my grandsons birthday and when I got home we were doing ground works for our forth coming 7m by 5m deck.

Todays job is setting out and concreting in the upright supports for the decking.
Mrs TC asked when the F would be ready to have its anti roll bar back on.
I asked if she was asking me to spend the day on the car - sadly not.

So in between posts and rounds 10, 11 and 12 of BTCC I hung the anti roll bar from its sub frame brackets, no bushes, just hanging.

Untwisted my trailer by adding the missing bolt from the chassis, only been like that since 2006 when I bought it as an ex demo from the local Do-It-All. Also added a couple of extra bolts to the body to replace the incorrect bolts that were letting the body mis-shape when strapping in stuff.

MGF relevance - I use it for moving MGF parts.

Ground out the 4 exhaust heat shield bolts, 3 are off, 1 still holds on despite being completely dust.
The forth came off with a few gentle taps on the joint between the heat shield and the bracket.

I managed to get out all 4 exhaust mount bolts (although 2 needed a 9mm socket tapped on to them), 3 of the 4 anti roll bar to body mount bolts came out, the 4th sheered but drilling it out will be ok as it bolts to the subframe bracket and that is coming out.

Finally all 6 of the rear sub frame mount bolts came loose, I had sprayed them last week with some plus gas (and then lost the can!) and before undoing I did crack them tighter a fraction.

Running short of day light I moved on to fitting the N/S puddle light, just need to wire it now.
