after your 200/25/ZR/Streetwise/BRM or whatever.

since it is a smallish car as it is, would you upsize, or simply just go for something different alltogether?

I plan to go for either of the 3 for my next car, currently owning my second 200:

ZR160 - fast, fun,comfortable
TF160 - I can imagine much the same as above, who cares if its a hairdressers car ;)
Audi A3 - always liked them. and they are now cheaper than ever seemingly.

what about you guys?

I've had most of the cars that have really ever appealed to me, I know MG's/Rovers inside out and wouldn't really want to not have one in future.

However, I do miss my old Evo when it's weather like now (dry and sunny), but I wouldn't want another bog standard import (was forced to sell it after I blew the turbo and intercooler, which was a few grand of HKS kit, thus I couldn't afford to replace it). When I get another I want to get the Tommi Makkinen edition, but they're becoming collectable now, so the price will only go up.

difficult to answer because i don't know what my budget will be like when i come to move on.

I think when the time comes to move on I'll move downwards and get a cheap little runaround with a small engine that's cheap to run, cheap to insure, cheap to tax so i can save some money up to get something I really want, rather than replacing the 160 with something similar

car

im running a superb and fast rover 218 coupe vvc till tomorrow when its off to a new buyer in wales, having run the vvc for a while ive grown to really love it and the rev limit at 7200 rpm is my icing on the cake.

so ive bought a 216 p reg cabriolet but the 1.6 k series standard is a good engine but compared to a vvc flat.
so my plan is to get the cabby on the road then when funds and time allow add full 40mm suspension kit,17" wolfrace wheels in white, paint car nightfire red or white, full custom exhaust with a massive golf gti back box (3" bore pipe lol)then the engine .....1600 vvc is the way for me.
so my next car will be a nicely quick modified 216 vvc cabriolet.

There isn't really anything that appeals to me of late. If the ZR ever dies for whatever reason (beyond repair I mean, if the engine just needs replacing, it's VVC time!) then i'd probably hunt out a diesel streetwise, tbh. Or an Alfa 156. :dunno:

Was planning to chop the VI in for a 75 diesel due to the mileage that I do but now looking like I may be emigrating this year rather than next so don't think I'll be able to afford anything decent when I move.

Or an Alfa 156. :dunno:
We may bite the bullet and take my wife's Alfa 156 (Red 2.0 JTS oh yes!!) but it will cost 8 grand to import it so that will have to be the only car when we get over there for a while. The hardship of having to drive that will just be awful.....NOT!

I don't plan on replacing for a while as my vi is almost where I want it mods wise.
Besides, a mate is helping build my "fun" car at the moment - a Skoda 136 Rapid with a Bini supercharger to be entered in this years' PPC ÂŁ999 challenge:wooman:

Should be good as he is entering his turbocharged Skoda 136 Rapid as well.

good question eggy.

its a question ive been asking myself alot lately.

i turn 30 next year and i want a bigish, reliable car that has comfort and looks good.

atm, i want a diesel and have a budget of 4 to 5 grand.

ive been looking at a few cars.

vw bora.

they look amazing colour coded, slammed with deepdish alloys on.

audi a4

good comfy drive with loads of room inside.

bmw 3 series

think benny dub was looking at one of these. the 330d for me just look the dogs and ive always liked the interior of a bmw.

tbh there are i few other i'd buy but there my top three. not in that order though, back to front.lol

I'll probably end up selling the 120 soon and will buy either a ZR 160 or a ZR TD. I will then keep that until it breaks tbh.

Might be tempted with the MG3 when it comes to getting a new car because i'll have the ZR until I finish uni at least, which is another 2 years.
