Weekend at TS Autos

It's back, after spending Friday night and all of Saturday, Terry has worked like a trojan and changed the belts (idlers and pump inc), oil, coolant, some breather pipes, spark plugs (the ones that came out were the wrong ones) and I can't even remember the rest - the list was so long.

Also found the second half of the pigeon we discovered a few weeks ago during the gearbox ATF change, and it's skeleton.

After all that, what a difference - it feels more responsive and there's certainly a few more horses there too.

I'd like to say a massive thank you to Mr Edd who gave up all his Sunday morning to take me down there, and to Terry for the great work he's done.

I'd rep you both but the system won't allow me to as I've got to "spread some around" apparently!

Yer welcome Tom. Pleasure watching you trying to make head nor tails of the SatNav. I am not alone in not understanding this IGO8 thing.

And thanks for the plonk!

Edd
Tom I guess you and your 75 couldn't have been in better hands.

Cheers

Lol as I said I usually bond with software instantly but that thing is just madness, so many options!

If you make it Cosford can I have another play? I should have my unit by then lol

I still owe you mate.

Absolutely right Jim, and it's where I'll be going for servicing on every other MGR car I own.

You can have a play with my BMW highline upgrade as well if you want at Cosford - whilst we're having a run out.....maybe.

Meant Edd as well giving you a lift - topman.

Cheers
Jim
I'll come to Cosford, hopefully someone there can give us a demonstration of all the options in IGO8.

Would be great, do I get to sit in the driver's seat while doing so? lol

See how the day goes Tom, the V8's still got a sticking piston - hopefully going to be sorted tomorrow.

All should be well by Sunday - going to try and get there early doors - so I'll see you there.

Cheers

Jim
Sticking piston? That doesn't sound good, is Terry having a look at it for you?

Hope it's an easy fix and not too much trouble.

Whoops, meant to say sticking piston in a brake caliper - was sorted on MoT but it's come back - decided to bite the bullet after trying to free it off and have got a replacement caliper that's being fitted tomorrow. For once Terry's not involved don't really want to drive 85 miles with it in the current condition - having it done locally.

Cheers

Jim
Ah of course the sticking brake piston, my bad!

Excellent so it'll all be sorted for Cosford :D
Sounds like im going to have to get my 180 down to this place MisterTom, I've heared nothing but good reviews about it, and I'd day that by looking at the attention that you obvisouly give your car your not going to have it serviced at anywhere but the best

my old cambelts didn't show any signs of wear, but the idler was on it's way out when i had them changed last year, so next time round it sounds like I may have to make a change from the local garage

all the best,
BARON .

I may well be using the services of TS Auto's soon.

I'l post more details when my **** has stopped boiling.
I live about 30 miles from Terry, and on Friday morning he changed the resistor on fan to make slow speed work again - top guy - highly recommended.
