Hi guys, when searching for parts, I notice that it says 'up toVIN etc' and 'VIN onwards", however these VINs (from Rimmers don't reflect that of my V5 - any ideas?! Mine says 'SARR etc?!

Forget the 'SARR'. This may help you better understand the methodology but the numbers given by Rimmer should be enough (he says) - MGF MG TF VIN and History Collection

From above link you have to concentrate on digits 12.-18. xxxxxx 6 figures=serial number. So your Serial number from your VIN number will correspond to numbers given on Rimmerbros pages or any other part number catalogue.

Do not take it as read that the VIN shown on the V5 is exactly as the VIN shown on the car. Of course it should be, but numbers sometimes get incorrectly transposed - so always check.
