There's a document on the owner's club web-site - see VIN identification.
L = Saloon, F = 2.5L 190Ps petrol
N sure about the version, but will probably mean 2.5L petrol, manual, RHD

Varient/Version

Hi

Thanks for the feedback. The car incidently is registered June 2004 as a Longbridge Company Car. Its in for a service as I only bought it Saturday. The Rover (former) garage say some extra bits have been added. I shall enquire further

I was going to ask the same question, so glad it's been answered!!

Incidentally, my R75 CDT has a Variant of *LH. It is a 10/01 model.

It might have som deeper meaning as well... I am importing an '01 Tourer from Sweden (to Finland) and the authorities specifically asked about the version/variant thing when I enquired on any possible registration problems with the car. Might have something to do with the CE marking.

picking it up next week, can't wait... especially since my Cit Xm blew a brake pipe. Somebody must have told it it's being replaced ;-)

Variant and versions are how we distinuished vehicle types for the whole vehicle type approval document. It is all linked to homologatino builds, emissions, noise, and so on.

Massive area in the document and there is over 170 versions of the R75 out there!
