If you have a Japanese re-import it could be the Cat over heating warning lamp. If it is there is a way to blank it off, it should look like a cat (and not the sort that meow either)

Have you checked to see if the car is a re-import? if it is I am pretty sure it is the cat overheating lamp.

If it is a UK spec car then the warning light is for the engine bay, you may like to check the fuses that govern the engine bay fan because if it doesn't work the engine bay will soon overheat. If the light comes on as soon as you start the car and your car is UK spec then the fuse would be my main suspect.​

 

Sorry, correction, it would seem it is the ABS warning according to my chart.

 

It is the cat overheat light.

Designad, if your car is an Aus/Jap model it is, as is one of mine, on the UK model it is the ABS warning light.

 

Thats right, Aust model. I just realised that I haven't read the thread properly and assumed he had that one

 

This might not be much help as it is for a UK TF, but it's the only one I have.

 

hi could i get some help please i just got a mg rover si, and the fuel and temp gauge dont work can any one tell me or post a diagram of were the fuses are for these,or does anyone have an answer for why these are not working,its a n plate, many thanks
