For street driving and in wet conditions, I recommend the Toyo Proxies. Pound for Pound they are excellent tyes with amazing grip. Now, I drive on Goodyear F1s, which suppose to be the dogs dinner! I do have to say that they are better, but not by much on the street. I did not have a chance to try them on the track yet, which they suppose to excel. So, if your not looking to do track days, I would save the money and go Proxies. If you want to do quick lap times and have deep pockets, F1s are the best money can buy.

Got some prices:
( price includes set of 4, fitting, new vavles, balancing & vat )

Falken ZE 512 : ÂŁ297 ( good in dry, slightly less grip in wet ) ( have got these on a 300zx tt and they hold well on that in the wet so )

Toyo Proxes TR-1 : ÂŁ376 ( Can be all about brand at the end of the day but still a good gripping tyre ) ( Got these on a Subaru and hold well in wet )

Dunlop SP9000: ÂŁ385 ( never heard of them :S )

Uniroyal Rain Tyres : ÂŁ400 ( If you want the best, here they are! Unreal gripping power! and performs as well as it does in the wet and it does in the dry but havent got the money :S ) ( Got a set of these on a 1.6i MX5 and can floor it round round-abouts in the pouring rain!! )

Dunlop 101s Sport : ÂŁ400 ( Recommended by my mecahnic mate but havent got the money. )

What milage do you get from the above?

I just put a pair of Avon ZV3's on the back and had pirrellis on the front; I hate the pirrellis. Want to get some different tyres in the new front tyres in the new yr thought about the zv3 on the front as well; only issue with the above tyres are that my alloys are stanard 15", so i bet many of the better tyres wont fit...

Goodyear Eagle F1s are the current best tyre on the market. Proxes are good, just not as good as the F1s.

They are soft, and will wear out if you abuse them. After 15k miles, rotated once, on a 200vi, fronts were down to the wear markers, and rears still had 4.5-5mm left, so I got another pair and rotated again.

Wet grip is unbelieveable, great tyres!

Oh right, well mine are the more expensive 17" s, for most wheel sizes there are some great tyres out there but i have heard companys that produce tyres such as avon, bridgestone, firestone ect are starting not to make tyres for like 14"s anymore( well not completely stopped but limited options ), i think 13" were gonna be taken out too but of course the classic mini ran on them, so the popularty help that.

yer thats who i use, im sure i posted that earilier. I think they are the best ive found yet

well my buget is ÂŁ300 and i need a set of 4, actally my rears arent allthat bad (3-3.5mm) but they are different makes, ( 1 is falken ze 512 and the other is Michelin Pilot)

The front are about 1.8mm and they are both falken ZE 512. but my spare is completly bald so i need 1 for that.)
