Might be a bit of a :doh: question but

where should you position a trolley jack on a ZR to take wheel of.

Under the sump. (Only joking)

ZR is the same front end as early 200 and 25 so I put the jack under the front cross member. Big black thick metal piece that goes from one side to the other, has two bolts at either end.

Ooh, front or back?

Back;
Put under the cross bar that the trailing arms attach to. Preferbly where the arm pivots. Not too sure as my 200 has the same suspension as the 45/ZS at the rear.

Never!

Never position the jack in the centre of the rear H frame on a MK3 200/25/ZR as you will distort the frame and put the steering/suspension geometry out for good. Position it under the mounting points, that's the general area.

The front crossmember will be fine to use as a jacking point, also.

The scissor type jack (supplied with the car) acts directly on the vehicle sill section.

A trolley jack is best placed on the large chassis section underneath the drivers footwell
