I'm thinking of trading in my 1 year old 1.8 classic for a "new" CDTi.

I've been told they are a much better car to drive and obviously the mpg should be a lot better. They also hold their value better.

Any comments/opinions.

Hi there....a friend has the 1.8 which he thinks is great but he is considering doing the same as yourself and getting a CDTi for increased reliability, improved economy and enhanced driving experience....

I have the CDT....have spent a few quid on it and it is brilliant.....47mpg and goes like the wind....a perfect combination....

Don't think you will be dissapointed with your trade-up....

Should I have any concerns about a "new" 1 year old car i.e. its been sitting somewhere for over 12 months. Any engine problems, aircon issues to look out for?
