Quick question

Is it true that you can't use the eyelet on the back of the car to tow another car?

im not sure if there the same as the 200's (under the rear bumper i think?!?!?)

but ive towed a fair few things with mine and never had a problem!

The rover car handbook says that they are not towing eyes and must not be used for towing.
Apparently they are for lashing the car to a transporter etc when being recovered.

thanks for the replies folks. Yeah, the manual is a little ambiguous. It's just that my GFs 944 has a problem, and I've lost the screw-in eyelet for my Merc.
