I have to admit i dont really see many older people driving ZR's, at least around my area anyway but if you love your car then who cares what everybody else thinks?!

 

Saying that, there was an old woman driving around in a sparkling (I mean BLINDING) ZR160 in TESCOs Stafford car park yesterday! :lol: She was loving it!

 

Im 44, and have no intention of ditching the ZR yet

 

Tosh...I'm 65 and have a Bugatti Veyron...okay, I lie.

But what difference does it make? If you love the car, then that's all that matters.

When I was driving up to the Lakes the other month for my birthday, I was scooting up the motor way, and was to the missus, oooo look, theres a ZR in Anthractie, just like mine. As I was over taking it, there was a woman, who must have easily been in her 70's, driving it

theres a old guy who lives a few houses from me who has a ZR, well hes like 55 or something.

and i dont really see it as a yougpersons car to be honest... it griven by all kinds of people.... grandads/grandmas, early perents, kids.... lol

 

Don't be silly mate im 26 and i have one ..... ok that doesn't help lol ! My uncle is 60 and he has a ZR and loves it. It was being in and seeing his that made me wanna get my first ZR then i fell in love lol !

 

It all started for me when my wife was given a ZR 120 MK2 auto as a courtesy car a couple of years back.

She hated it, I loved it, and now I have my own.

I've been thinking that at 46 I may be seen as to old for my ZR.

I'm 46 too, and I certainly don't feel too old for mine.

There are a fair few older ZR drivers about if you look; indeed there is at least one member of theMGZR who is in his 70's!

 

There are a few OAPs with ZR's round here - MK2's in black (stunning looking car)

My grandad used to drive round in a skyline at the age of 70!!

Im about the only person in about a 20 mile radius driving a zr that is under the age of 70 no joke! I got mine in december and since then all i see are OAP's driving them especially around where i work.

 

You can drive whatever you like. My Dad has a 190 brake Celica T-Sport and he's just turned 70.

 

I am 50 on my 3rd ZR ,silver 06 plate trophy se,love it ,all 3 have been 100% reliable never let me down only cost has been fuel and a yearly service would buy another from one of the many very low mileage ones that crop up on Autotrader,but hope this one does me a few more years yet!Your never to old!!!!

 

There is an old guy with a ZR who used to attend the North Weald Track Days.

He'd thrash the car like any kid with a baseball cap. Used to record good times too

Nice to see there are quite a few older owners out there.

Maybe they are becoming more of an enthusiats choice rather than being branded a boy racers car.

 

:unionflag: Well I am just over 60 and own a TF160, my wife has just bought a ZR160 facelift (car not her) we both enjoy them and attend regular meets with the F Register. Your as old as your head tells you.

I had the opposite problem with people saying I drove old people cars when I had my little Rover Metro and Rover 414 but I loved them (well the Metro any way) and that's all that really mattered!

My ZR reminds me of the fun I used to have in my little Metro... I miss her :sad3:
