ditto, guaranteed even if your brkaes werre fine, by the sheer realisation that you cant check them yourself, they probably believe that when they tell u they need changing, regardless of whether they actually do or not, you wouldnt be able to double check yourself, otherwise u wouldnt haev taken to them in the first place.
so i reckon, they will say to 99% of ppl, tehy need lots of stuff doing, and get more money than they lose by wasting half hour whipping your tyres off.

But there is nothing saying that you have to have additional work done by them. If you are technically savvy then I think this could be a bargain if you are keeping your car for a while. If the disks are getting low, change them and then limp the car in for new pads, otherwise just get the pads replaced.

no, i was worry the parts are free, but there is a sentencewhich indicates you have to have all the work they find done and done by them.

brakes and tyres are the two most important parts on a car. and i wouldnt leave that area in the hands of my local kwik fit. shame, but true.
I have to agree with that. :)

And regards to the offer, you don't get anything for nothing, remember that! ;)

Nope, they provide the pads free as well.

An excert from the newspaper article that I first noticed it on " We'll replace them free of charge any time they are worn down. So you'll never have to pay for another set again"

And the bright orange advert on their web site says "Free replacement brake pads and shoes"

I have been trying to find the downside, but I can't.

As you say they are hoping for gullable people and more work will be "found". But there is nothing to stop you saying, no thanks mate, just the pads. They are also banking on the fact that people do not keep their cars for very long.

Ah yes, see it now. You must authorise all work found at the inspection. Nothing to stop you checking it out first though.

I have to say may faith in kwikfit is waining with every post you lot make.

I would never ever let that company near my car!

Brakes are very important. That important that I don't trust anybody with em.

I do my brakes myself. That way I KNOW they are done properly.
