I think you are likely to get 'pulled' by the Police.

In the old days of driving (Roadgoing) race cars to the circuits we were required to put a black coss over the race number. Apparently this was a requirement under the 1988 Construction and Use Regulations purtaining to the Road Traffic Act.

I think that numbers on the doors make a car look to boy racerish, unless of course you are competing in a race or rally.
I read somewhere that the Police can form the opinion that you are encouraging people to race you & there is some obscure law that covers it.
As stated by Debs when I was competing in road rallys you had to either remove the numbers or put tape through them when you finished or retired, or the Police would & did pull you...
If you must do it put the white circle or square on the door but forget the numbers??
I used to use white fablon from Woollies!!!!

If you want to be a bit different go to a grraphics printers and get some removable reverse window stickers made up for the rear quarters, you can then have what you want on them rather than selecting from a small list and if you do get your collar felt you can just remove them..

Oh boy,... so much for searching the 25 /zr section.....

I was right in one thing though, It would be more than a bit different!!.....

Anyway being as I have stumbled out of territory, DONT DO IT!!!

Stripes make car look wider & lower, ok if done properly but not just a case of putting random width stripes on.
Side numbers will dominate a smaller car too much, its all people will see!!

The reason you see vw's and the like with numbers is they were produced like that, which gets around the construction / use regs. afaik.

going to find a hole to hide in now..:run!:

I think myself if "you" like it thats all that matters.Personally,i think it will look ok,myself i would prefer the numbers to the stripes as it will look more like a gt racer in the old style rather than a striped up boy racer chav mobile,eg ford fiesta st.Every one has there own tastes that are not necessarily to other peoples so dont be put off by what others say.If you decide afterwards that you dont like it you can always remove them.Post some pics if you do it,its the law.

Heres my old F before it had a meeting with a crash barrier.

Go for the Viper Sripes i say. They are easily removed if you change your mind.

My advise is to get as thick/wide as possible, as some of the thinner ones look cheap and a bit, well, naff.
