Im really only looking for a ball park figure for this.

And also for any other modifications that would be needed to allow the car to be reliable, safe and last for at least another 5 years without any major problems.

I know with the extra power that will come, that a rear disc conversion, and uprated front brakes will be needed. But what else?

Sorry if the thread has been up before, but i can only really get time to look at the first page of the forum when in work.

I really love the ZR, but if its going to cost mega money then i may decide against it, as i was looking to buy a Mitsi Evo in about three years time anyways.

Would just love to have something that theres not that many of!

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers!

you'll need the gearbox off the donor car too..

there was a company doing this conversion through ebay, included top notch recon engine and the brake conversion.. was the best part of ÂŁ5k if remember rightly

supposedly they were pretty good so id expect that to be the normal(ish) price

5 grand? what sort of power gains would i be looking at?

Enough to justify the 5G? what about exhaust systems, would the 105 be alright or would it to need to be changed?

Are PTP a good compnay to get in contact with?

ptp only deal with the k on mgs and rovers.. but they are good, more pricey for the same gains tho.. their 200bhp k2000 variant is ÂŁ12k

i think you will get a new exhaust with the t conversion as its a different style, you'll also get a new induction system id guess.

*edit*

oh yeh an the t turbo is either 180 or 197bhp depending on year

T16 are available in two versions one about 180 and the other 200bhp. New exhaust needed, better front brakes (rears can probably be left alone). Engine and gearbox from the donor plus wiring and ECU's. Also need to fabricate an engine mount too I think.

12K?!??! thats a Mitsi Evo 6 on its own! a wee bit OTT for me.

5000 coudl be done at a stretch ove the coming year or 2, but 12G? thats mental!! For that id expect it to be all inclusive of exhaust, ECU, wiring, gearbox, brake conversion the lot!

If the conversion is about 5k, then I can imagine it was from motobuild esp if it was through ebay. Speak to AAautosport about check book conversions. No idea who the hell "si" is but he wont know diddly squat compared to AAautosport. Speak to them but make sure you either have a budget or power figure in mind otherwise you would just be another conversion dreamer :)
