Advice really, best stuff I can use to stick back on my father in laws rear breaklight which is usually located on the rear glass of his 420 hatch?

I always used to thoroughly clean the anchor plates and make sure the holes are clear, then apply an amount of curable seam sealer (or RTV!) to it and tape them in place - making sure they were in the right position!


Leave for 24hrs and then refit the lamp......fingers crossed!

Superglue and 2 pack resin never really worked.....

Better still, find a bodyshop and beg for a nearly used tube of Sikaflex - that's good stuff.....plus it will be (probably) free!


Don't get it anywhere you don't want it, it's nasty stuff.

RTV (Basically a silicone gasket) used to be good a doing this repair but the RTV I've used lately seems to have changed, for the worse.
