As title, would this item be a direct replacement, for my original 2004 mgzr steering wheel, much prefer this type, and with the audio controls installed on it as well.

From what i know both the steering wheel & your current ZR airbag should fit fine & dandy :)

Thanks for your reply, appreciated.
Not the right colour for your car, but these are excellent wheels: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MG-TF-SPARK-S...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a5f0d215d

The wheel is slightly smaller so seems to make for a more involving drive, plus the leather is nice :)
I agree completely :)
I've got a TF wheel and it is so much nicer :) (I've actually got 3 steering wheels, a R25, ZR & TF: TF FTW). Perhaps try a BRM steering wheel, some of them also have audio controls?
Still contemplating, but not too sure about the rotary coupler, you reckon this item would need to be changed during the fitting process, the vehicle its off is a r25 99 model, mines a zr 04.
ive got a BRM steering wheel and it does indeed have stereo controls..

Also, i have the original MGZR steering wheel, with no controls for sale :)

R25 and ZR couplings are the same, only need to change it if you use an F / TF wheel.
Just to add to this. Not all airbags are the same. There are differences, and therefore there are different couplers. I think the difference may be from Rover 200's as opposed to Rover 25's, but there are type A, and type B airbags and couplers. Just be aware because your original link is for a R200 :)
Personally i'd bin the whole R25 wheel and go for the T/TF steering wheel, they are so much nicer to drive with and smaller too :)
i've got a red ZR wheel with a worn patch top left... bought it from a member with plans for refurb or resale... i has spare funds that he needs... i bought it for £35 posted, so same to you if you want it. if you're not worried about the wear patch then it'd just need some leather dye to make it black.

Correct, I must have taken on board, 'will fit a r25' just wondering now if its going to be too much hassle, why on earth didnt they do the zr with the remotes option, suppose I could look into retro fitting them, at a later time thanks anyway :)

Thanks for your offer tony, but I may just look into a retro fit of the controls to my own steering wheel, unless of course I can come up with an idea to relocate the unit into another easy touch area... :)

that's fine, thought i'd offer just incase.

no you can't put them on the front of your seat.
''sorry officer, i know what it looks like, but honestly i was adjusting my stereo''
