Hello there i was woundering if any one could help me

Im just after buying a 05 ZS with only 23000 miles on it Drove it about 400 miles home with out a hitch it seemed perfect but since i have brought it home it seems hard to start from cold so i decided to contact the prevous owner to see if he had any problems he told me it was took into garage and got new heather plugs.

Is there anything else it could be?

By you saying 'heater' plugs guess it's a diesel.
In that case I would check the ECT sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) as this helps the ECU determine the amount of fuel to inject and also how long the glowplugs remain energised.
It could have failed giving a 'hot engine' reading.
A cold engine requires more fuel and the glowplugs need to remain on longer than when the engine is hot.
Would think that it's function can be checked by a resistance test, I am unable to find what the readings should be at the moment but will post if I find them.

Hope this helps.

It's located in the top of the coolant outlet elbow.
ie. Looking at the engine from the front it's on the left hand side, close to the engine where the hot coolant leaves the engine on its way to the radiator.

Hope that helps.
