Hiya

Just thought I would post this, see if by the off chance im doing something wrong. Got the forks from halfords to remove the unit from the car and I cannot shift it with all my strength! I force it inwards and it does move then slips then forks come out.

Btw this is the standard unit in the mg zr, think its kenwood?

Ive had 2 people on this trying to remove it but it only nudges a little. Is there by any change some locking mechanism or something that needs to be done first ?

I thought it might be dodgy forks so I used the forks from the corsa and they still ain't shifting it! Argh Im just so annoyed that I can't remove it i I had to vent!! :cus: :cus: :cus:

ok, if its a kenwood it would say kenwood on it, and if it is a kenwood then you need flat kenwood release keys, now if its a standard rover stereo that has tw holes on either side that the forks from halfords fit it to then push em in till they click then pull, I wouls suggest pushing them out to the sides as you are pulling them
