Got a zr spoiler need to respray but not really sure how to build the coats up.

It is painted so should I- sand, prime, sand, spray light coat, sand, spray second coat... then finnish with lacquer?

Should I sand again before the lacquer coat?
what grade paper should I use 1200 wet and dry?

Thanks

First of all let me ask if you have professional equipment to do this and the ability to do it. I'm not questioning your capability, but if you attempt this with spray cans it will likely end up a mess and cost you more in tins than it would to get it done at a body shop.
You'll need at least 2 tins of primer, 6-8 tins of paint and 6 tins of laquer. That's £63 in tins and then you've got all the preparation.

It cost around £80 to get it done properly.
