Hi
I have a Rover 45 on a W plate recently the speedo started to become sluggish or not work
Has anyone out there had this problem or a quick fix (The fylde coast is littered with speed cameras)

I had a few erratic problems with my speedo a while ago. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. Then it just stopped working all together one day.

I checked all the wiring to the speed sensor and that was fine. It turned out to be the speed sensor itself that was knackered. Changed that and all was well. Apparantly it's quite common.

These cost about £65 new, but I got mine for £15 off Ebay.

I agree with Ashy. First place to look would be the sensor.
