So a garage have inserted a helicoil into my spark plughole due to having no thread they used some loctite 2700 due to not being able to get hold of the high temp stuff. On there website it shows
Service temperature range: -55 to +150°C but then says Can be disassembled by heating to 300°C

The high temp version seems the same
Rated for 360°F (180°C).
just a tad hotter

Im just wondering if this would hold the helicoil in better? Would the 2700 burn being to hot?

I have to take my kids home to there mother :) I see them once every 2 weeks the last contact i was on my way up to get them and the plug blew out so had to miss it because it took me days getting the car back from no were. So its been a month since i seen them ive had them this week end and have to take them back tomorrow. Down the same motorway i drove to the train station then caught a train there and back. But not hoping to drive down the same motorway. I use to be a mechanic for 4 years but have never put a helicoil in intill this happened to my car a friend who has been at it longer than me told me just now if my engine got to 150c there would be no engine at all but i explained the glue is on the threads of the spark plug hole threads / helicoil and was told it would be fine.

a quick update i made the trip up the motorway with it and it held i was going around 60 all the way tho. I was hoping to stop at the other end and let the engine cool down but couldn't so came right back with it and car was perfect so now hopefully it will hold till i can afford a new head
