Right, as we've not had a good one for a while and the Kemble meet last year was good, let's do it all again :D

Sunday 10th of October at AV8 Restaurant on Kemble Airfield. Photo's, chat, food etc. etc.

AV8's website.
Where it is on Google Maps

If people want, we can do a convoy there from Cirencester again? As that seemed to work quite well last time :broon:

Some photos from last time to wet your appetite:

YEAHBOI!

In!! :broon:

Cirencester gets my vote as well

Will we be able to run across the runways again ?

Luke
Were is this in relation to Portsmouth/Chichester?
Quite far I'm afraid :err:

Use the link in the first post to have a look on google maps, I'd be surprised if you could do it in less than an hour and a half...
Hopefully will be able to make this one, aslong as the car passes it Mot midweek.

i'm up for this as long as my work shifts don't change

lol I would but it's a bit of a trek like you say. Plus I have two broken cars at the moment :(

There we go, keep the numbers growing chaps.

Should be about an hour from Weston I think dude. M4 to junction 17 then off to Ciren that way is probs best :broon:
i intend to come but it depends on the nature of the car's woes....

clutch slave is an easy one, to sort, but i am worried the fuel pump is dying - or more importantly the timing solenoid.... October is only a week or so away now so if it all goes pete tong i may not be in a car - and i dont really want to turn up in the 206 again - the Shame!
I'm in. It was a good and very well attended meeting there last time as it was Lauren's birthday if I remember correctly.

Dave
I would also like to add that if there are people wishing to experience the old SD diesel for themselves I am willing to hand my keys over as we are on private land. Not racing. After all these meets should be about sharing knowledge and experiences.

This is for new and existing members.
oh, so quick question then, what is the deal with the airfield part of it.

Are there speed and\or area restrictions etc?

Pending how healthly my car is the same offer applies - with the caveat you break you fix ;)
Ben has the inside knowledge but as far as I am aware the airfield is not fully open. It's a case that the cafe is on the quiet side for private aviators so there is some space but not a circuit if you get my drift, although saying that there were a number of cars racing that we seen from the cafe over the outside. Ben might want to look into it? A few went to do pictures after a few of up left last time and turned out really good so hi don't know what path they took to them but I am definitely sticking around this time for it.
Dont get me wrong, i am not after a race, but wanted to make sure i knew where the rules stood. We dont want to get in trouble by being ignorant was all.

If you are allowed to open it up a bit then it would be nice to know, but not really important.

with my 75% (self imposed) throttle limit in place until i get this EMP down, the car will still hit 120 i suspect, just take quite a bit longer to get there!
Not any long runs inside but the local road on the entrance at the rear is good for WOT, otherwise its a few corners and a small straight but I was guilty of giving it the beans on the way out and is good for a demo or two.
!

Was a good meet last year, obv wont be as good this time round as I wont be there!

Cheers,
Matt
just been informed of impending shift changes

so i have no idea if i'll be able to make this meet now :/

apparantly whoever made the current shift timetable couldn't be bothered, so he just copied and pasted last week in till christmas >.>
hmm, to do with test drives/speed limits.

Technically there is a 20mph limit the whole way around the north side of the airfield :err:

I would say not to worry too much about it but last week I did get a bit of a talking to for driving too fast lol.

There's a big back straight that goes past the Britannia that you can still have a quick blast up and down, but I'd say thats about it to be honest.

Still plenty of photo ops in and around the airfield though. However I'm not sure if we'd be able to cross the runway, not sure what the rules are regarding this (I have a swipe card to get in/out of airside but not sure if I'm authorised to escort other people or not).

I'm not in as good a stead with Kemble as I was last year lol, so don't want to push things really. We can still get to the other side of the airfield, but it may be a case of driving round the airfield instead of driving through :broon:

Cheers
Ben
