hi,
I have a rover 416si 97' and i want to reduce the sound coming from engine and the road.I dont have any rattles from doors, floor. I have found a soundeadening material on this site: http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk/meta/46.htm
what do you thing? Will this do the job? I know that it is not good as the dynamat is but is much cheaper.

Those panels are built to stop panels resonating and "drumming" They'll help a little but what you would probably be better doing is installing a layer of felt/foam under the carpets and extending it up the engine/cabin bulkhead wall as far as possible. If you've not got any underbonnet sound insulation then try getting some as that can help too.

Excellent, well worth putting inside doors, roof, rear pillars and anywhere "tinny" better than the flashbanding I used. Good link!

Check this place out: http://www.lcw-underlay.com/

They are actually a car workshop that specialises in interior retrimming and soundproofing. I got a nice roll of this stuff for soundproofing under the carpet on my ZS and it was only about 25 quid.

Not sure if it's convenient for you but they are right buy the docks in Liverpool. It's heavy stuff though I'm not sure whether to use it or not. Sheddist what do you think?

Looks OK for under carpet. Also, had the sill steps off and peeled back the carpet. Soundproofing foam does not cover sills, especially round drivers seat. Soon fixed.
