Right,
I took the decision to stay OEM with my Golf (the standard stereo is quality!), so I am selling my Sony single CD player that I had in my Rover 200.
Its a Sony CDX CA900 (the seventh one down on
this page). It was in my Rover for approximately 18 months, during which time I had no problems with it. Since removing it from my old car it has sat in its box on top of my wardrobe for approximately 4 months, so I've decided to shift it!
Its a lovely looking unit as shown in the photo below and it sounds great!
The specification is as follows:
Active Black Panel faceplate (removable face-off)
SSIR-EXA tuner
30 presets
XM Satellite Radio controls
EQ7 with seven preset curves (Vocal, Club, Jazz, New Age, Rock, Custom, Xplod) and a 7-band equalizer
Dynamic Soundstage Organizer
Plays CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs
CD Text
CD changer controls
Front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs
High-pass and low-pass filters
Auxiliary input
Max. Output Power (1kHz, 4 ohm) 4x52W
It also comes with two Sony remote controls:
Sony RM-X6S
Sony RM-X113
As I said, this was still in fine working order when I removed it from my old car 4 months back and has sat in the original box in my bedroom ever since. It also comes with the two remotes, fitting cage, surround, carrycase for the face, fitting and operating instructions.
I am 99.9% sure that it will just plug into the existing loom on the Rover 200 and most other MGRs as it is just a standard ISO connector (not sure about Rover 75s etc (think the BMW connector was different???) but there are loads of people on this site that can confirm if an adaptor needs to be bought).
All yours for £90 delivered to your door.
