Maybe get your tracking done just to see if there is any damage to your wheels but seeing as its just s scratch it could be ok.

Wouldnt mind that the drivers side alloy was not curbed one bit before! :slap:

 

get it checked out at a garage for any bent suspension components

 

is it pulling to one side atall? or mabie the steering wheel is turned abit around to go straight?

 

Even minor damage will lead to uneven tyre wear.

 

Major damage (like my 200 sustained) can lead to the whole body being moved out of shape. This thread shows the extent of the damage that can be caused.

 

Yes, there's definitely a difference between major and minor damage!

 

Have a look under the car and look for this steering part. Is it the steering rack, i cant remeber!

 

If the car isn't pulling to one side and there is no wobble or vibration in the steering wheel then I'd say you'll probably be OK.

 

Thanks for all replys and photos, the car is not pulling in any way and the steering wheel seams to be normal. I will check that steering rod tomorrow.
I presume it will be bent or twisted if its damaged.
I will get my tracking checked.

If the steering arm was bent or damaged you'd notice it through the steering wheel and the car would pull to one side. However it's a good idea just to get it checked out for piece of mind.

The ice is a shocker... Its my first winter driving in the UK since moving here from sunny southern Africa 2 years ago and I've had a few close calls already but luckily never hit anything! Yeah, Ashy is right, just get it checked out for piece of mind.
