It's VIN 699 so the middle of the production which is good.

High mileage but no problem with that.

145K for that donkey is nothing surely ? My 820 Vitty has just clocked 121K and is still going (just)

Think these will be an investment tbh ............ time will tell ;-)

With the engine only at 45,000 it really depends on the condition of the rest of the car.

My old 260 had 146,000 on the original engine when I sold it and I still regret not keeping it. I wouldn't be frightened by the mileage but you would need to have a good look at it.

If you ask about it on two-sixties.com I'm sure someone will help if they know the car.

You make good point - the engine may be able to carry on forever but the rest of the car has still done the mileage.
It's been exposed to salt, gritty rain, car parks, hailstones etc etc.
Worth a good look around.

I'd guess though that if someone is willing to stump up for a new engine, the cars likely to be worth it.
