Hi , hope someone out there can help. I have been waiting for a week for a garage to fix my 75 diesel. Needs a new lower engine mount (lower rod assembly) Have tried myself to locate but no joy. Any ideas for replacing. These now seem to be as rare as hens teeth and judging from items on the scrapyards, very likely to fail. Got to keep going on this , just had lower ball joints, rear springs, rear shocks, rear discs, new tyre and refurbished injectors all in space of a month!!!!

Rimmers, Brown & Gammon, the Z-Warehouse etc
Rimmer bros and brown and gammon no stock. Evans halshaw no stock. Haven't heard of Z-warehouse. Anyone know what difference is to the part on the petrol version?

Z-Warehouse is on ebay, but also known as Premier http://www.premierautomotiveparts.co.uk/
Roewe don't use the same part on their cars do they ? If they do,you'll find a Chinese supplier somwhere online.
There's new polyurethane bush insert being developed by a forum member. Maybe not soon enough for this case, but the future looks promising. Apparently there are no new diesel tie rods available. One for a V6 or 1.8 will fit but may not last as long. Would keep you going until the PU units are available.

Has anybody evaluated the Tedgum option: http://tedgum.pl/sklep/product_info.php?cPath=2_143_2892_5882&products_id=3336? Although the company is based in Poland it can answer queries in English and it does offer shipping to the UK. The problem bush is listed at an equivalent price of approximately £18.50, if shipping cost is the problem maybe a member from Poland or one of the Continental Countries could assist. :deano:
Thanks for the info.will follow up on those. More disasters though. Just managed to get new in tank pump from partco, in pristine box with seal. last one available. took to garage to fit. pump broken. now no stock on backorder.

Pump inserts, the gubbins that fail, can be bought here: http://www.mkon.co.uk/apps/webstore/products/show/948874 "How To" here: http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=226030&highlight=diesel+pump :deano:

Got my parts at last (well being deliered tomorrow) Pump from mkon and link from lakeland minis.
By the way info from tedgum is as follows:

"We can deliver the part to the UK by mail. You will have to make a prepayment on our bank account, prepayment in euro. The price of the part 00607021 is 22,5 €. The cost of the shipment is 20 €.

So, how much did the mount cost at Lakeland?
Refurbish lower rod assembly? Tedgum Bushes

Mount was £69 + 4 delivery + vat.

Am seriously thinking of importing a batch of the tedgum bushes for refurbing dead links. Any opinions?
Don't know whereabouts you are in the country but I have used bearing suppliers to obtain Silent bloc bushes They are available in many stock sizes and a decent supplier may be able to find something off the shelf that will fit.

Just been looking at that possibility on various sites. most look a bit on the stiff side for the use. Bush in link has two voids cut out of it.

Also . due to Partco getting efficient I now have a spare in tank pump. offers?
Tedgum's shipping cost is a problem, might be more viable if someone going to Poland could collect them. I would wait a while, someone has made a poly bush and it is currently being tested. :deano:
Think am going to have to plan for the demise of my 75. Will be the first time in 34 years of motoring that I wont have a rover or triumph. Think it will have to be a Skoda
I got slightly different figures from Tedgum. Shipping was priced at approximately 25 euros (£21.30) and I was told that would be for up to 5 items which were priced slightly lower at approximately £18.50 each. Taking the best from our quotes postage should be £17.50 for up to 5 items priced at approximately £18.50 each.

Was told discount could be given on orders of 20 or more items, price could be reduced to £16.16 per item - postage cost would rise depending on order size.:deano:
