It is not a harsh test and the engine will not be stressed in any way.
The plan is to service the engine and do a series of tests then put 1000km of mileage and test again to a total of 2500km

The companies registered address does not need to be the same place as it's workshops - there is nothing wrong with that!

The websites do need an explanation though...

the sdress held on record is just the one for serving papers etc - quite often the owners home , if the bussiness moves workshop etc then they dont have to change stuff

I wonder if he is trying to sell them again after being sold them a week ago by his contact at MG and then finding that the MG10 doesn't exist?

Well as said Sheefag you only need a registered address that court summons etc can be posted to you it can even be a office address that you don't use very often if memory serves me correctly.

I think you may have jumped the gun slightly acusing the guy of being a scam, if you look at his website there is a lot fo information on and around 40 pictures of the same buildings testing various cars.

What they actually do in real terms I have no idea, but it would seem a very elaborate hoax in my opinion with that website whcih is quite basic in design but has lots of technical info on it imho.

Over to you detective Sheefag to prove me wrong, I am always happy to be wrong as well as right :rofl:

‘Test Facility's real name is Tim ----- who coincidentally registered those two addresses recently.

Tim apparently runs an automotive emissions test facility which includes MG amongst it's customers with his business partner Graham Downing who's speciality is as a part time college lecturer who composes radio jingles.

I believe Tim has since deleted his original post. It all stinks.

It is a strange world we live in tbh, maybe it is some kind of hoax or scam or maybe it is just odd who knows but i'm sure we will find out one way or another.

I do find the post you refer to as a bit odd myself but who knows.

And who knows who actually made the posts; all we know is that it was someone at a computer logged in to Tim's account. Also you can give anybodys details when you register a web address!

From what I can make out from a quick bit of Googling, the company and person seem to genuinely exist.

The activity on this forum however is much more suspicious - perhaps an assumed identity?

Is it worth contacting said person above and asking if they know of someone using their name on this forum?
