Hi

My wife was out in our 800 yesterday and the drivers window decided to head south and obviously likes it so has stayed there. Door switch could not tempt it back up..When using switchs on drivers door for all other windows they come down but will not go back up unless we use the switch on each door seperatly. We have had a few occasions recently when the car has decided to lock us in whist driving along...interesting.

Car is 1997 820si. I have tried locating the ccu but cannot find it. Where is it? Or will it be relays and if so where the hell are the window relays?

Anyone help?

Kind regards

GMH

Maybe its the drivers window switchpack, they are prone to failure, do you know someone else with an 800 to try their switchpack on your car? Its an easy 2 minute swap.
The ECU is found under passenger seat

A good starting point for any Rover 800 electrical malady is to resolder all the joints on the main fusebox under the dash.
