wow like me {55years} clean record, low value car ect ect. I feel we have done our time and now deserve insurance for a very small fee, however they dont reward us for being good do they. still think that a high price.
Im paying no were near that, Im 32 with a 53 plate MG ZT CDTi 8 yrs protected NCB 10,000 annual miles, 2 claims 1 in '06 and another in '07 neither of which were my fault paying less than £400 with Sky insurance.

I think that if you pay insurance on any thing for 10 years without making a claim you should get 1 year off for good behaviour at least....
240.00 last year, 30 years old with 4 years NCB with swiftcover (spent a lot of years on wifes policies as it was cheaper!).

260.00 this year with same company, 5 yrs NCB and 31.
Come on lads anyother peps had any good car insurance quotes lately.. the best so far is Hastings £317.32

Car insurance quotes!!!

Car insurance is a postcode lottery, I've been driving for over thirty years with no claims and no convictions ever, no claims untill this last twelve months, two claims one for windscreen chip and the other for a stupid cow who bumped me, last year my insurance fully comp was £312, renewal this year was £546, the cheapest i could renew for was £423 fully comp, i was down at my mothers in Cornwall a few weeks ago, so i got comp-the rat.com up and did a quote from there and the same company come in at £234 for the same policy, now you tell me if its not a lottery as to where you live, big city's with bad rep like where i live (Bradford)although i live just outside but within a Bradford postcode and get hammered because of its reputation, its only my job that stops us from moving, but we can expect more increases because of the insurance scams and the amount of uninsured drivers that are on the roads, if it was up to me:devil2: no insurance, banned for a minimum of five years, accidents depending whats involved a retest at least, some of the drivers on are roads are bloody dangerous, but thats just me, Steve

Bimey, I didn't know postcodes make that much difference. It's probably because there are only about 20 houses in my street and my postcode only covers them.

I've got my bike with Adrian flux, there were the best by miles. But in all of the comparison sites swiftcover always came out on top for my car. Perhaps I should give them a call at renewal, they might do me a deal for having both vehicles with them, although it seems my existing premium is pretty good.

Ken your's is probably going to be more because although the 190 is higher insurance group, your car is probably work twice as much as my 190 :)

Steve !!! Are you sure you meant to say that ????? Pmsl.

Colvert.
If you are accident free then I think your insurance should be halved every ten years.
By the time you reach 50 you would be a very careful driver !!

You know what i meant Col, i should have put ' thats just my thoughts' Ste
I was stupid enough most of my life to be loyal. and accepted that the renewal premium was fair, untill a few years back my princess said I.m mad for not comparing. so gave it a go and guese what, comparison site came back with exact pollicy with same company I was with for £60 less than renewal qoute I'd recieved in post, when questioned them about it was told was cheaper because qoute was on net ? never again will I renew without checking first. I dont know how much I'll pay for zt as when time comes will phone up change car from my current C5 2.0 hdi presume they will be in similar group. iirc i'm paying £230 f/comp.
