The turbo's are very rare to fail on these cars imho, but blue smoke is certianly burning oil, how much blue smoke is it chucking out?

rover 75 2.0 cdt turbo problem
got a problem with turbo i think.
problem started when car seemed to start missing when foot taken accelator, then got blue smoke in car looked like coming in from rear. then started to cut out, blue smoke and missing stoped now, just no power. could someone please help.

Oil getting in from a leaking turbo will not make your car stop.

blocked pcv filter?? worth a check how many miles on your car?

OP run the engine with dipstick pulled out and if oil spurts out of the holder then PCV is blocked and needs changing ASAP. Very easy to change takes around 30mins.

i heard on here that a blocked pcv filter gives the signs of a blown turbo well worth a check!!
